The Old Hardware Shop

Address:
8 Woolton Street, Liverpool,Merseyside,L25 5JA
Description:

When we first opened The Old Hardware Shop, It was through a mixture of a lifelong dream to run our own café - we used to make up pretend café menus when we were little girls - but also to make a café which sold all the foods we missed and struggled to find as vegans. We became vegan a long time ago, because we love animals and as the most amazing dog in the world (our hairy little brother Roger Marr) showed us when he was alive, animals have such a range of thoughts, feelings, mannerisms and personalities.

We believe that the best way to help people understand about veganism is to show them that vegan food is delicious and NORMAL-and that there is no reason to eat anything from an animal. We believe that animal products are for animals, animals aren't there for us to use. The dairy and egg industry is just as cruel as the meat industry and this isn't something that we wish to support.

With all this experience behind us we thought it was time to start out on our own, and thus the Lazy Leek was born.
