What we loved:

The beautiful setting within Grand Arcade – a bright and airy venue with a relaxed, friendly feel.

The team are very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the food they serve, so deciding on dishes from the fabulous, varied menu is made much easier than you think!

We enjoyed the famous “Chilli Cheese Hot Dog” which is insanely good, to set the scene, this is a yummy smoky hot dog covered in five bean chilli and cheese sauce in a bun, served with salad and chips, you can add rawslaw too! To go alongside the comfort food fest, we went for the “Whole Bowl” which is a wholesome, nutritionally balanced bowl of chipotle spiced black beans and brown rice, topped with mango salsa, coconut sour cream, guacamole, fresh coriander, cheese sauce and a salad garnish – delish!

For pud, we tucked in to a heartwarmingly tasty, Sticky Toffee Pudding, created by the head chef and featuring a huge dollop of ice cream, yum! We also got to try the signature “Roots and Fruits Eton Mess” a plant based take on the Eton Classic and an explosion of sweet and fruity deliciousness.

A totally fabulous foodie hang out (and take away!) – you’ll want to head back for more as there’s so many top notch dishes to choose between.

Humpit the Hummus and Pita Bar

Situated in the very grand Corn Exchange on Call Lane. A cool, quirky foodie spot with arched door frontage serving up freshly prepared hummus and pitta (plus lots more!). The Corn Exchange is an iconic building, stunning architecture and a great place to sit and unwind.

Eat Your Greens

A stylish foodie spot on New York Street that combines a restaurant, bar and small grocery store. This heavenly vegan friendly hang out even serves “White Russians”! Expect a welcoming vibe, sophisticated ambiance and the most exquisite dishes to fall in love with.

What we loved:

The simple, stylish decor with funky, industrial style lighting – the perfect ambiance for a birthday celebration, romantic date night and everything in between.

Head Chef Jim has the most amazing creativity and his passion for food shines through in the menu, all of the dishes we checked out were heavenly!

Lots of locally sourced and organic ingredients and base ingredients like the almond milk are even made in house… Love this!

The menu is varied and lists vegan options before anything else. We checked out two main courses, a heavenly “Braised Onion” which was a beautiful creation of braised onion, slow cooked onion sauce and vegan white pudding and the delish “Oat and Lentil Mejadra” – spiced oat groats and puy lentils, with crispy onions and pickled chilli – simply divine!

Food presentation is simply out of this world, you’ll want to capture photos! Flavours are rich and colours are stunning.

The dessert menu that sends your taste buds into overdrive. When we visited we opted for something off the specials menu; Berry Sponge with Beetroot sauce and a yummy Chocolate Cheesecake with Ginger Puree.

We’re in love with this place.
